When a 30 second timer ends

The line under the timer shows the end time for your clock as soon as the page opens. For planning, here is where 30 seconds lands from some common start times:

StartEnds
7:00 AM7:00:30 AM
9:00 AM9:00:30 AM
12:00 PM12:00:30 PM
3:30 PM3:30:30 PM
5:45 PM5:45:30 PM
10:30 PM10:30:30 PM
11:50 PM11:50:30 PM

At 30 seconds, the timer is over before most distractions start, so the main question is precision. The display counts down in whole seconds and switches to zero at the exact moment, measured from the moment you pressed Start; key presses are faster than mouse clicks, so press the space bar to start and stop.

For exercise intervals such as 30 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest, switch to Intervals: it alternates the two and beeps at each change, so you never have to restart the timer by hand. The well-known Tabata format is 20 seconds of work, 10 seconds of rest, 8 rounds (4 minutes in all).
