Public holidays in between
Choose a country to list its public holidays in this span.
Holiday lists come from official government sources and cover 2026 to 2028; outside those years only weekends are skipped. The facts above use your device’s time zone and move on at your midnight.
Which weekday 30 days back falls on
30 days is 4 weeks and 2 days. The whole weeks bring you back to the starting weekday and the remaining 2 days take you 2 weekdays further back: 30 days before a Monday was a Saturday.
Depending on the start day, the span holds between 20 and 22 weekdays (Monday to Friday) and 8 to 10 weekend days. Counting back from Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays gives the most weekdays.
| Today is a | 30 days ago was a | Weekdays in the span | Weekend days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Saturday | 21 | 9 |
| Tuesday | Sunday | 22 | 8 |
| Wednesday | Monday | 22 | 8 |
| Thursday | Tuesday | 22 | 8 |
| Friday | Wednesday | 22 | 8 |
| Saturday | Thursday | 21 | 9 |
| Sunday | Friday | 20 | 10 |
The row for today’s weekday is marked. Public holidays do not change the calendar count; they only reduce the working days.
30 days in weeks, months and years
30 days and 1 month are not the same thing, although they can coincide. 1 month can be anything from 28 to 31 days, depending on the months crossed. From January 29, 2027, 1 month later is exactly 30 days later (February 28, 2027); from January 1, 2027, 1 month later is February 1, 2027, 31 days. If a contract or notice says 30 days, count days; if it says 1 month, use the calendar date.
A 29 February only matters if it falls inside the span, and then it is simply one more day in the count: 30 days before March 1, 2028 was January 31, 2028, but 30 days before March 1, 2027, with no leap day in between, was January 30, 2027.

“The last 30 days” in reports and statements usually means the 30 days up to and including today or yesterday, so the window starts on the date above or the day after. Check which convention the report uses before comparing two of them.

How the count works
Today is day 0 and yesterday is day 1, so 30 days ago is reached by stepping back one calendar day 30 times, weekends and holidays included. If you count today as day 1, day 30 was Monday, October 5, 2026, one day later. The hub explains counting back and the “last N days” trap.
