48 days from today

Which weekday 48 days later falls on

48 days is 6 weeks and 6 days. The whole weeks bring you back to the starting weekday and the remaining 6 days move you 6 weekdays on, which is the same as one weekday earlier: 48 days from a Monday is a Sunday.

Depending on the start day, the span holds 34 or 35 weekdays (Monday to Friday) and 13 to 14 weekend days. Counting forward from Saturdays and Sundays gives the most weekdays.

The row for today’s weekday is marked. Public holidays do not change the calendar count; they only reduce the working days.

48 days in weeks, months and years

48 days is about 1.6 months on average, but it never equals a whole number of calendar months: 2 months always last 59 to 62 days, so the date is 11 days or more before the same calendar date 2 months on.

A 29 February only matters if it falls inside the span, and then it is simply one more day in the count: 48 days after February 1, 2028 is March 20, 2028, but 48 days after February 1, 2027, with no leap day on the way, is March 21, 2027.

How the count works

Today is day 0 and tomorrow is day 1, so 48 days from today is reached by stepping forward one calendar day 48 times, weekends and holidays included. If you count today as day 1, day 48 is Sunday, December 20, 2026, one day earlier. The hub explains exclusive and inclusive counting, and the court rule that counts the same way.
